FANA appoints Mr. Frederick E. Hazell Ambassador to Jamaica, Trinidad, Barbados, Grenada, St. Vincent, and Dominica

March 7, 2025

The Federation of Aboriginal Nations of the Americas (FANA) continues to expand its involvement with other Tribes and Indigenous peoples around the world.

FANA is very concise in its search when looking for a candidate who fits the requirements of being an ambassador for the Federation.  Each person chosen to represent FANA must have the necessary qualifications and/or certifications in the areas that are needed when FANA establishes relationships with the Indigenous Tribes/Nations and governments of their assigned territories.

Therefore, all of FANA’s ambassadors represent different facets of what is needed to achieve that goal. On that note, FANA has recently appointed Mr. Frederick E. Hazell as its Ambassador to Jamaica, Trinidad, Barbados, Grenada, St. Vincent, and Dominica.

According to his resume, he has a diverse employment history. I will mention just a few areas of his employment background.  He was the Vice President of Operations in Maritime Life Insurance;  and served as the Executive Director of the Ministry of Health of Ontario, Canada which is the largest Provincial Health Ministry, and is currently the President and CEO of an Exclusive Trust Company LDT, Nevis.

He has established business relationships with the Maori Groups of New Zealand, Members of the Ruling Family of Abu Dhabi; The Crown Prince of Bahrain; The Archbishop of Mexico City, and World Health Organization Projects.

He will be bringing his vast knowledge in law and finance to the Federation.  This knowledge will be beneficial as he establishes relationships with tribes and other Indigenous entities, as well as opening avenues of communication with the secular governments.

That vast knowledge will be advantageous for Ambassador Hazell as he will be looking for/into treaty opportunities as well as commercial opportunities for FANA within his territories.

He will be reporting to  FANA’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom and Ambassadorial Coordinator, Mr. Douglas Scott, who reports to FANA’s Minister of International Affairs, Principal Chief Dr. Ronald Yonaguska Holloway of the SandHill Band Lenape and Cherokee Indians (NY, NJ, PA).
